Good Cheap Paintball Guns. How To Choose...

There are so many cheap paintball guns on the market today that it becomes confusing and time consuming to make a decision.

Not all of us can afford to get a good, new and modern paintball marker. But you don't want to waste your hard earned money. So your challenge is to try to find a good low priced paintball gun that can function well enough to make your game fun.

But if you want to buy a cheap paintball gun you have to be aware of the disadvantages. In fact, the most important one is you may not get a reliable gun. It may not perform very well and it is probable that you will have to fix it more often than if you got a mid level paintball gun and not a cheap paintball gun. Over time a cheap marker can ad up to one of the more expensive models because they end up having more problems and maintenance. Say, over the course of a year or two. But at least it will not be expensive, and if you have to fix it you'll learn more about paintball guns faster than the average player just starting out.

If you are on a budget and you need a cheap paintball gun to get started, consider these tips...

Cheap paintball guns are considered cheap at a price under $150.

As you may probably know, almost every big (and not so big) manufacturer has a cheap paintball gun on the market. If the gun is produced by a good company, it will have some kind of warranty. Also, a cheap marker will have fewer features and you will probably have few if any upgrades available.

But don’t be ashamed of buying a low priced paintball gun. Because when you go to your first game there will be a lot of people in a similar situation.

SIDE BAR: An all day rental package at a decent paintball field is typically about $15-$50. There is a huge price differential because where I live in California real-estate is very expensive and field owners are trying to recoup their investment. But out it Texas where real-estate is cheaper the rental fees are cheaper as well. So if you are in California it's almost worth it to buy your own gear (a cheap paintball gun for starters) and pay the "self equipped fee" which is as much as $20 for an all day admission. A rental package at a typical field includes everything you need to play. A gun, goggles, and usually paintballs. Paintball clothes are usually not included.

I bring this up because there are a few other things you'll need to buy in addition to your cheap paintball gun...

At the very least you will need: Paintball goggles, paintballs, and paintball clothes.

Paintball goggles are as cheap as $19.99 and as expensive as $159. Paintballs are about $30 for 1,000 or $50 for 2,000. Starter paintball clothes will probably be available in your closet.

Considering this information you need to decide what your budget is going to be for everything (if you already have goggles and paintballs hold on because I have cheap paintball gun recommendations in a moment).

Best Cheap Gun Packages Number 2: The next step up in terms of choosing a cheap paintball gun and all the needed accessories is the Tippmann 98 Custom or Spyder Pilot.

These two paintball gun manufacturers make excellent paintball guns. But if I had to choose between the two I would choose Tippmann 98 Custom ACT Paintball Gun (unless you are only looking for an electronic gun.) This gun is awesome not only because it's a cheap paintball gun, but because it's well built, extremely reliable, and it can be upgraded to a high-end paintball gun. I am only listing this gun as a cheap paintball gun because the price is so low. Otherwise it's considered a very good gun paintball gun.

If you are looking for a good cheap electronic gun, the Spyder Pilot is your best choice. For the price it's a really great deal. The price for this gun is only $99. And the Platinum package is only $89.99. So for a dirt cheap price (including shipping because anything over an order of $200 is FREE shipping...at the time of this article) you'll get a gun and everything you need to play.

The Spyder Pilot is is a better looking gun, but overall it's not quite as good as the Tippmann 98 Custom in terms of it's engineering and it doesn't have as many upgrades. Most people who buy a cheap Spyder gun end up selling it and buying a better gun because you can't upgrade it as much as the Tippmannl. Where as with the Tippmann 98 Custom you will be able to upgrade it to a high end level gun and it will last you a long time...saving you time and money. Get the Tippmann. You won't be disappointed.
