My son started out with a MR1 and it is a good semi gun, But the MR2 is a fantastic gun. It ranks right up there with my X7. He has used it in every game and has had no problems with it and to this day he hasn't chopped any balls at all.

Well I'm sorry but no offense to the first guy but whatever you do do not get the tippmann guns. I play with about 11 other guys all the time, and almost all of them have 98 customs or a5's and so in teams I've got a pretty good understanding of how these guns work. The answer is pretty crappy. They are 1. A huge hog for co2, I have a 20 ounce and I last 4 games to their 1, and 2. They have many problems. I usually have to sit and wait for one guy every time as his marker won't cock for some reason, or something along those lines. 3. The biggest thing is that they freeze up ridiculously fast. After about 12-15 shots, all of the guys are sitting there with frozen guns, while I've shot full hoppers and my mr1 isn't even cold. Just goes to show I guess the difference in quality between the two. Hope this helps!!

I own the mr1 and it has been a pretty reliable marker.I upgraded the barrel to a smart parts 14" linear barrel, which improved the accuracy a bit. This marker is easy to maintain and if your not into wasting a bunch of paint with full auto then this is a good woodsball marker. However, I would personally go with the tippmann 98 which is a much more reliable and durable marker for woodsball, and there are more upgrades for it also.
