Stake out the playing field.

by Mason
(New York)

Before I play on an unfamiliar paintball field, I always try to examine it for possible spots that will give me extra cover or are well camouflaged. It also helps because while the rest of your team is looking for positions, you already know exactly where you want to go and won't get shot while looking for a spot or wander into a spot that is already occupied by an opponent. A few things to look for are large trees, holes, walls, or anyplace that won't let a paintball through.
