X7 help

by Andrew
(America)

I'm 12 and I literally just started playing painball 4 weaks ago, I also just got a tippmann X7 for Christmas and i would like it to be a good sniper marker but the x7 even with the flatline barrel isn't the most accurate marker, I'm using Co2 and I have heard that switching to nitrogen makes it more accurate, is that true? Also is there and upgrades anyone can suggest that would make it more accurate, or just any upgrades at all that you would suggest.

I allready have:

Flatline barrel

Red dot laser sight

Electronic E-grip (or whatever its called)

And im going to get the remote line for the tank

P.S my keyboard is really screwed up so if im missing any letters thats why

No mods you make will make it shoot any more accurately. Good paint and paint to bore match will help tremendously, as well HPA or Nitrogen. Whoever said it just adds power is stupid. If you are chronoed right, all paintball guns shoot at 270-300 fps. The flatline will make it shoot farther, but will make it less accurate. You will start to notice the ball do crazy stuff after a distance. Really your best bet if you want to be a "sniper" is to practice long balling, concealment, and PATIENCE. There's my 10 cents, my 2 cents is free...

Try a mod
by: Sam

There are many mods out there so there are a few things to consider. I currently use a Co2 tank but i have not tried out nitrogen. So that might work. The thing you could try to do is get a sniper mod. I am a beginner also, but do not have the same problem since as the man before said i like flanking with medium range A-5 with a flat-line barrel, e-grip and also an adjustable stock. But for you i would suggest a sniper mod with maybe a good scope for distance shooting. Another thing you might try is to get a good adapter or remote and at least a 20 oz. Co2 tank. Get some good protection. Set up the sniper(Only if playing woods-ball.) Some extra paint tubes for long game types such as CTF. Then the last thing that might help you is a BT Thermal Mask. The only problem with this suggestion is that to acquire this you need to have a lot of money. I am only 13 myself so that is why i went with a reliable a-5. So if you are looking for only the basic sniper gear just get a ghille suit at your local Special Operations Gear shop(If by chance you live near one.) Then maybe later on get the sniper mod as a present. That is the best sniper solution i can think of. You can find me at FushigiTakai@yahoo.com

Who are all these anonymous fools?

Nitro or compressed does make a huge difference in accuracy and efficiency whoever said it doesn't may be retarded because you will have less ball breaks for one and again the gun won't ice over. Gun temp is very important to all the refs who posted to this young man... pick up a gun and learn something. Laser or red dot site will not do too much for you just to let you know. Flat line barrel has excellent range but for more accuracy get a ported barrel in any length don't listen to that fool tellin' you to get a 7 inch or shorter he has little man syndrom, however too long will slow the ball so just find a happy medium. The E grip is cool because if your playing some under skilled people fully auto is fun but for accuracy just tap that trigger semi auto like and you will find the love. I got a remote for my tank once and let me just tell you that, that was dumb. Running through the woods with a tank bouncing into your spine or trying to sit in the dirt with that motha trucker no bueno if you want lighter weight get a carbon fiber wrapped nitro off ebay for like 40 bucks if you want more maneuverability... leave the tank on the gun and if someone else can't read ( anonymous don't spend 300 dollars on gun before you think you like it ) he said it was a christmas present... your dumb... if you want to sniper for whatever reason the flat line is your best option for range but like anonymous numero uno said you will have more fun gettin' in the shiznit and enjoy flanking. I think I have said enough any one got something to say? kbrook511@yahoo.com. Peace.

Nice its awesome thaht you have such reliable eqipment i would not buy a remote line because i've seen them fail many times and it would take away from the reliability. Also Hpa and Nitrogen do make the gun more accurate but in my experiance tend to run empty faster. On top of thatvsniper sounds better than it actually is its kind of boring and you have be extremly patient. Try being a front player and flanking thats fun.

just cuz sum1 has a 16 barrel doesnt mean the gunn will be more accurate or shoot farther i think the ball reacher max speed in a 7 inch barrel maybe less i 4 got just go to pbnation and read reviews on guns or like check out the newb forum-medle reff
oh yea and you wont see a lazer at 12:00 easier way look down the barrel put the tank either into ur shoulder or a bit higher than tht u should get a perfect veiw down the length of the gun = win

accuracy
by: Anonymous

hey man i have a x-7 too. im 14 and been playing for a while. both me and my right hand man in the field use x7s. if you want accuracy get a stock for your gun to steady youre self then a barrel thats between 10 and 16 inches. nitrogen only adds power not accuracy. a little cheat is to add a laser pointer to youre grip that way youll know where it might hit
